Care in Wygram is delivered on a partnership basis. Our team led by Jaya Rajeev, resident’s families and healthcare experts collaborate to provide the very best for residents. We look to involve residents in every possible decision and they are encouraged to be themselves (Bi Tu Fein). Our core focus for our residents is ‘nothing about me, without me’.
Long and short term care can be provided. The best way to decide if Wygram is right for you is to visit and speak to the team. We will give you a tour and bring you through the process from start to finish.
Wygram is a modern facility where you can be confident that residents’ happiness and wellbeing is our focus every day. It’s often the little things that mean a lot and the highly experienced team will care for our residents to the highest standards and take the time to get to know and understand exactly how they like things to be.
All About Me is a template that families complete during a resident’s first few days with us. It allows us to gather information about the residents and their life up until now and it is a great way to get to know our residents better.
Every carer needs a little time to themselves. If you are supporting an older person living at home, taking a break is important for your wellbeing.
Residential respite is available for short – or long-term stay. You can relax, knowing we are taking care of the ones you love. They will be part of the Wygram family and can enjoy all of the activities that we have to offer onsite.
People often try respite care before deciding on full time care.
Programmes specifically designed to help people living with dementia are in place. Focus is on a person’s skills and abilities rather than those they have lost. The person rather than the disease is at the centre of everything.
We provide Reminiscence therapy and life stories.
The team at Wygram is second to none. This team of healthcare professionals includes Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing Clinical Nurse Managers, Senior Lead Healthcare Assistants and Healthcare Assistants.
The GP does weekly rounds and is on-call as appropriate. Residents can be facilitated to keep their own GP if they would prefer.
Additional services offered privately as appropriate include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, chiropodist, dietician, tissue viability nurses.
The safety of residents and team is our priority at Wygram. There is regular contact with the HSE, HIQA and other healthcare experts.
Full training in infection prevention and control measures are in place and there is easy access to PPE.
Chandini Chandran (Assistant Director Of Nursing) is our qualified Infection Control Nurse Link Practitioner.
